Songs of Renewal Concert (June)

Sunday June 3, 2007, 4:00 p.m., St. Luke's Episcopal Church

Join us for a late afternoon concert in the intimate and beautiful sanctuary of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Works by Hildegard von Bingen, Mendelssohn, Duruflé, Holst, Ratcliff and others. The famous “Four Songs, Op 17 for Women’s Chorus, Harp and Two French Horns” by Johannes Brahms is a special highlight of this concert.

Built in 1854-55 and renovated in 1999, the acoustics of this church are perfect for the repertoire Concentus performs. Three magnificent stained glass windows designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany add to the special ambience of St. Luke's.
