Autumn Concert

Sunday November 14, 2004, 3:00 p.m., Asbury First United Methodist Church

Please join us as we explore journeys of the spirit and heart through a varied musical program featuring the world premiere of a newly commissioned piece by Deanna Witkowski. Witkowski, a New York City jazz pianist, composer and ensemble leader, has set to music the poem "I learned that her name was Proverb," by Denise Levertov.

This work and others examine the inner journeys we pursue in the quest of knowledge, passion, and peace. The idea of the labyrinth as a meditational instrument is essential to the Levertov poem.
